The Ecology Centre can help transform your school grounds into attractive, creative environments that will benefit children's learning and development, whilst providing an asset for the whole school community. Improving school grounds will also help deliver Eco Schools, Health Promoting Schools, and the Curriculum for Excellenc e
Our service includes:
- An experienced member of our team visiting your school to discuss your needs and budget
- A survey of your grounds, noting size, space and features all of which have an influence on the design and use of the space.
- A report specifically tailored to your school which includes recommendations on the most appropriate use of the space.

- An Outdoor Classroom which provides an opportunity to learn through a natural connection to the outdoors.
- Willow Structures that can be both practical and aesthetic providing a natural habitat for wildlife or a fun enclosure for pupils.
- Introducing Bird and bat boxes, Hedgehog and Insect hides and Mini-beast slabs that attract and support local wildlife.
- Ponds installed with safety in mind and suitably managed, offer a wealth of opportunities for teaching water safety, environmental and scientific study.
- Developing a Sensory garden as an effective way of creating fun and important participation opportunities for children.

Refund of Consultancy Fee You can receive a refund of the £175 consultancy fee if you place an order within 6 months of receiving the School Grounds Development Plan, and if the value is in excess of £2500.
